HERNDON, Virginia — As part of an intriguing tie-in with release of the movie Iron Man 2, Audi of America set out to find a real-life Tony Stark. It announced the winner of its search on Tuesday, saying that an M.I.T graduate student who created a digital bulb with built-in Internet technology that can project Web content onto any surface is their man.

"We found our guy," said Audi in a statement.

He is Natan Linder, the creator of LuminAR, a technology that is said to be ready for prime time in about three to five years. Linder's technology can be seen in a YouTube video. In the video, Linder explains that the technology allows users to have "the Internet everywhere you want it."

Linder gets a prize package befitting a brilliant inventor. The goodies include $15,000 to fund his invention, the chance to drive Tony Stark's favorite car — the Audi R8 — on a racetrack, spa treatments and "tailored cocktail attire and grooming to perfect his Stark style," said Audi.
